lulissat Centre Market opens a 1,000 m 2 shop after radical restoration

After a long period of rebuilding Ilulissat Centre Market throws open the doors to the new shop Friday 26th February.

The space of the shop has been extended significantly from its former 450 m2 to the new 1,000 m2 and is full of new exciting product groups and concepts making shopping easy for the customers.

“We have been rearranging in the new shop, says Mr Allan Frost, manager of Arctic Import, the owner of Ilulissat Centre Market. “We have filled the shop with fresh food giving our customers a tremendous choice of possibilities from butcher, bakery, delicatessen, and fruit and vegetables.”

In rebuilding and rearranging the shop focus has also been on extending the wine department substantially and to add a lot of specialities to the range of goods such as new special cheeses, delicate oils and spices and marinated products. In the shop there will be ample possibilities for testing several of the new products.

In addition the concepts have got a big part in the new shop. “We have created two new concepts: “Easy2go” offering fresh sandwiches, freshly baked pizzas, delicious cakes etc. Moreover, we are also introducing “Easy Gourmet” making it easy for our customers to make a delicious and tasty dinner as all the ingredients have been gathered and only need to be prepared in the oven”, says shopkeeper Mr Mike Hansen, who together with all his assistants is looking forward to the opening and to show the customers the new shop.
